Spanish startup Arengu (formerly Rocketforms), announced it has raised €500,000 in pre-seed funding to further the development of it's password-free online sign-up process. The pre-seed round was led by K Fund, with participation from Lanai Partners, angel investor Rafael Garrido, and VIKO, a digital marketing group.
Founded in 2018 by Jacobo Vidal Abeigón, Pablo Castro and Sergio Regueira, Arengu is a SaaS platform that that simplifies the process of registering users in forms and enriching the data of registered users.
Arengu aims to change the way in which leads and user information is captured on web pages. The idea is to make creating and integrating forms for websites or third-party applications such as MailChimp, Slack, Telegram, or Google Docs simplified, while intelligently solving problems normally related to forms, such as, fraud detection, automated bots and spam.
“As users, we are tired of sharing our email and password over and over again to signup or login on a web page or app. On the other side, companies are concerned that this information is stored safely and that the user experience is as smooth as possible for the final user. Therefore, we thought on focusing our technology on optimizing both the creation and implementation of these processes- so they do not become an inconvenience for companies and so they improve the final user experience to sign up with just a click,” Jacobo Vidal states, CEO of Arengu.
Currently Arengu processes more than 800,000 signups every month, and has been growing at a steady pace working both with SME's and Larger clients such as, Privalia (part of VeePee) and Grupo Posadas. According to Arengu, supporting data shows a +37 % growth on conversions with 65 % efficiency in detecting fake accounts using Arengu's technology.
