London-based Moteefe, a print-on-demand startup has raised a $5 million Series A round led by Gresham House and Force Over Mass Capital, which brings total funding to date to $7.3M

The funding will launch new products for larger retailers and fuel expansion into new markets, Australia and South America.

Founded in 2014 by Lev Kundin, Mathijs Eefting and Olivier Stapylton-Smith while pursuing an MBA at INSEAD. The startup is a social commerce print-on-demand platform service providing white label solutions for entrepreneurs, influencers, and micro-retailers.

Although print-on-demand ecommerce has been around for well over a decade with early entrants like Printify and Printful having enjoyed strong uptake for custom print-on-demand services. The market is showing no sign of slowing, powered off the back of an ever increasing rise of ecommerce, micro retailers and social media influencers looking to test new product lines or monetise with something niche, custom and branded.

Why POD is so popular? Besides requiring very little upfront capital, print-on-demand requires no inventory management, no machinery, provides full outsourced fulfilment, automation integration into the most popular shopping cart platforms like Shopify and Woocommerce, while offering immediate access to a huge catalog of products in which to design and customise your brand.

Moteefe with office headquarters in London and offices in Lisbon and Hanoi, was ranked as the #1 fastest growing e-commerce company in the UK, #4 overall, as part of the Deloitte Fast50.
